enclage herein a copy of the brief prepared for the Parliamentary Delegation which is leaving for China on the 29th September.

2. A final briefing meeting for the members of the delegation will be held at the Foreign Office in the morning of the 25th September, probably at 10.30 or 11 a.m. It is proposed to inform members of the delegation at the meeting of any developments which may have occurred since the brief was compiled, and the members may wish to ask questions arising out of the brief or on other points.
3. I do not know whether the Colonial Office will wish to be represented at the meeting. The exact time and place of the meeting will be notified later if you wish to send a representative.
4. I am informing the other government departments concerned.
